BEAUTILLION SCHOLARS PROGRAM

Beau William Franklin is the son of Bro. William Franklin and Iesha Fields-Franklin. He is a graduating senior from Bishop William McNamara High School. William excels academically and is on the Dean’s List. William is very active in his community serving with the Greater Baltimore Urban League Saturday Leadership Program, 100 Black Men Leadership Program, Jack and Jill of America, and the National Society of Black Engineers Jr. He is also active with the American Cancer Society, and Reid Temple AME Church Warm Nights. 

 

William learned the characteristics he needs to succeed in life from his father and his grandfather. His father is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha. My grandfather was also an Alpha man, so the characteristics that are important for him are the ones he saw growing up. Servant leadership, scholarship, and service. To him, these are the important characteristics that a young man should have to succeed in school, with his family, and with his friends once he has left home for college.

 

He has applied to Howard University, North Carolina A&T, and Morehouse College. In the Fall he will be attending Morehouse College where he will major in either Physical Therapy or  Engineering
